Frederick first experienced death when his mother passed away from skin cancer in 2008. When he learned about the environmental harm caused by traditional burial and cremation, he sought a better option. After New York legalized natural organic reduction, he committed to bringing this sustainable practice to his home state. Drawing on his experience managing sustainability programs, he founded Renewed Roots to offer New Yorkers a more environmentally responsible choice.
